Mediation is a dynamic, structured, interactive process where a neutral third party, called the Mediator, assists disputing parties in resolving conflict through the use of specialized communication and negotiation techniques. The goal of mediation is not to uncover the truth or impose legal rules, as usually happens when involving courts and judges. It is focused on solving problems, moving forward, and creating a solution that works for the parties involved.
