Mediation  is a dynamic, structured, interactive process where a neutral third  party, called the mediator, assists disputing parties in resolving  conflict through the use of specialized communication and negotiation  techniques.

Most mediators have some training in conflict resolution.

In this scenario, two or more people come together to try and find a solution to their problem.

I, as the mediator, am there to help them along, while always  forward-looking. The goal is for all parties to work out a solution they  can live with and trust.

It focuses on solving problems, not uncovering  the truth or imposing legal rules, as usually happens when involving  courts and judges.
